Our upstands are manufactured in our factory in Kent from insulated timber using a combination of state-of-the-art CNC machinery and bespoke joinery to ensure a completely airtight finish to provide an unrivalled thermal performance.

Every upstand is designed in-house to the exact size of your rooflight. Our custom-engineered technology accurately designs an upstand around your rooflight – whatever the size – creating a perfect, instant and consistent fit.
We offer a full range of options, including flat (for aluminium lanterns) or with a five-degree pitch to alleviate water-ponding issues.
Designed for efficiency
Our timber upstands are custom-engineered and designed to be thermally efficient.
An upstand can often become a thermal weak spot within a building, through cold bridging (caused by using solid timber), increased heat loss and/or condensation within a home. Our independently tested, insulated upstands boast exceptional thermal performance (0.28 W/m2K U Value), with a 95mm thickness.

With a skilled team of carpenters, engineers and designers, we control every aspect of the design and manufacture of our upstands, including the materials we choose to work with.

We are committed to using sustainable building practices to provide a high-quality product with as little impact on the environment as possible.
The elements that make up our kerbs are, where possible, sourced from sustainable resources such as OSB – wood once considered waste by the timber industry. The product itself significantly outperforms conventional building methods ensuring reduced heat loss within the building, which helps to reduce energy consumption.
All our products are designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK. This reduces our carbon footprint and also helps to support domestic employment.
